Mather Stover-Ling was born with spina bifida. While he doesn’t let his disability stop him, using standard playground equipment is near impossible.
Today the Scholars held their first press release to inform the community about next year’s community service project, “OurSpace”. PwC Partner Matt Singer, Binghamton’s Mayor Matt Ryan, Scholars Vice President of Fundraising Jake Weiss, and Scholars President David Schwartz spoke at the event, along with Bill Barber from Parks and Recreation and Jen O’Brien from Life is Washable Inc.. Although the details are still in the works, the scholars will be focusing on making Rec Park an accessible space for everyone.
